Medical VR Gogles

Our product is software using VR technology (Virtual Reality), which will allow the display of CT and MRI images in the form of three-dimensional holograms. The software includes a module dedicated to the analysis of CT scan and MRI images. Images are displayed by software installed in VR goggles, e. g. OculusRift or HTC Vive. The introduction of such a solution will significantly facilitate the work of doctors, who will be able to better prepare for procedures and shorten the duration of procedures.

Use VR in medicine

Virtual reality is most often used in rehabilitation and therapy, both physical and mental. This way it treats post-traumatic stress, depression, various phobias, e. g. arachnophobia, anxiety, trauma and physical trauma - paresis, motor difficulties related to cerebral palsy etc. The conducted research has shown that using devices with VR technology improves control over one's own body and mind, increases motor efficiency, improves perception and stimulates the body to action. So far, there have been created, among others: the device - Mind Motion PRO platform - helps in the rehabilitation of stroke patients, Virtual Reality Point Reduction - helps in treating people's pain after burns or a training device for children with cerebral palsy. In addition, VR technology is widely used in the organisation of training for surgeons, where they can practise procedures, improve working techniques, rework various scenarios and exchange experiences without the patient being present.

Popularity of VR

Virtual reality technology is becoming increasingly common. The value of this market is also growing, which may reach 160 billion dollars by 2020. According to the forecasts of Deloitte Digital, the number of VR glasses sold worldwide already in 2016 was about 2. 5 million. In turn, according to the 2017 forecasts of research company IDC, global spending on virtual reality and augmented reality will reach USD 17. 8 billion in 2018, i. e. by nearly 95 percent. more than the estimated 2017 effort of $9. 1 billion. Between 2017 and 2021, global investment in VR/AR products and services is expected to grow annually by an average of 98. 8 percent. Currently, the main player on the VR market is Oculus, bought by Facebook in 2014 for USD 2 billion, which is a pioneer of VR technology. However, this market also includes virtually all major equipment manufacturers - Samsung, HTC, Sony, Microsoft, Google, Epson and LG. From this it can be concluded that the virtual reality market is moving forward all the time and more and more money is being spent on this department. Countries such as the USA or the Asia-Pacific region (excluding Japan) entered the game, which in 2018 alone spent 6. 4 and 5. 1 billion dollars respectively on developing VR technology.
